    • Lacks a base; when folded down, protection blocks are removed.
    • Does not include an underside carry handle for transport.
    • No free UK shipping or subsidised international shipping.
  • Medite or Black Valchromat Workstation:
    • Equipped with an integrated underside handle for easy carrying when folded.
    • Offers a wheel system for transforming the MFT into a systainer carry cart, enhancing portability.

Workspace Extension and Functionality

  • Basic Workstation:
    • Allows for extensions to be added to increase the working area, but does not support handling a full 8 x 4 sheet easily.
  • Medite or Black Valchromat Workstation:
    • Extension system designed to easily accommodate a full 8 x 4 sheet for ripping, narrow cuts, or other adjustments, increasing versatility for larger woodworking tasks.

Frame System and Fixings

  • Both Workstations:
    • Utilise a BD4080 frame system, a custom-designed remake with unique features unavailable on standard extrusions.
    • Fixings are made from a mix of stainless steel, steel, aluminium, and acetal.
  • Differences in Fixings:
    • Basic: Basic fixings without stainless steel or anodised options.
    • Medite/Valchromat: Features enhanced fixings for added durability and resistance to wear.

Dimensions and Weight

  • Both Workstations share the same size: 1126 x 742 x 900mm.
  • Weight for both is approximately 34kg, with slight variations depending on the MFT top material.

Summary of Key Differences

  • Materials: Basic uses standard MDF, while Medite/Valchromat uses more durable, moisture-resistant materials.
  • Frame and Slots: Basic lacks dedicated F clamp slots; Medite/Valchromat includes 8mm and 10mm slots for clamping versatility.
  • Portability: Basic lacks an underside handle and does not have a wheel system by default; Medite/Valchromat features these enhancements.
  • Working Area Extensions: Medite/Valchromat can easily handle a full 8 x 4 sheet with extensions, whereas the Basic has limitations in this regard.
  • Fixings Quality: Basic has simpler fixings, while Medite/Valchromat offers more durable and resistant fixings.

Both systems share a strong foundation in terms of design, stability, and precision, but the Medite or Black Valchromat Workstation provides more advanced features, durability, and versatility for professional use, whereas the Basic model offers a more budget-friendly option with slightly reduced functionality.
