Doubling the length of my original ultra mft

My plan was to just build an mft that will remain in my basement workshop. Once I learned that to remove the aluminum corner blocks from the frame, I simply removed the end piece along with the folding legs and stops. This entire assembly was then used on one end of the new top after removing its end piece and installing it between my original assembly and the new assembly.
After installing the bench connectors, I realized that it sagged slightly due to the lack of any legs in the middle of the table’s span.
So far I have done a couple things to remedy this issue. I have ordered a second pair of connectors, which will be tightened when the 2 sections are clamped together underneath. I will also drill through the aluminum sections and install 2 5/16” carriage bolts through the top slots, and 3 5/16” carriage bolts in the bottom slots.
I have no doubt but that this “fix” will make my bench assembly absolutely perfect for my work.
