With the growing demand of our popular Rail Squares there was an urgent need to increase our capacity. We did that by installing a XYZ machine tool 1000LR to our production within the Benchdogs workshop.
Locks very nicely to Makita tracks, nice and square, very quick to setup.
A bit fiddly for the calibrating the zero with the narrow cut extensions, covering some of the adjustment bolts, but easy enough.
Only thing that is a negative for me, is that there is some play on the indicator plates, not a lot, good enough for most work, be aware that even if perfectly calibrated you can end up with small difference between the two tracks, when using longer tracks and having the parallel guides as far as possible, this is negligible, but when using a 1m short track this can be noticeable. Great, but could be perfect!
Looks very well built. I haven’t used it yet but, I set it up and tested its accuracy and it’s on point.
