This is probably one of the best finish tools I’ve ever purchased. The quality manufacturing is so precise. It is a joyto use. With the rails really helps holding the base level, while using the router; larger or small. And customer service is exceptional. I just wish they had a shop down the street!
Ok, new to mft''s and decided I needed a retirement present to build a few things over the next few years. First of all, was not sure how it all worked, and credit to Ralph (& Hannah) who spent over an hour on a call, making sure I was setup correctly. This is not only fantastic customer service but also shows 100% confidence in the product.
Only used it for a day, and still getting used to all the new features at my disposal, but can safely say, this is an excellent system that will serve me well for years and if I need extras, will come to Benchdogs.
Extremely reliable and precise, very easy to use
Firstly - fantastic service from Benchdogs, who were kind enough to get my order rushed slightly so I could have it for an urgent job. Makes for brilliant repeatable cuts and the only option to get this with a Dewalt track (because of the geniuses at Dewalt going with the double sided design rather than the standard used by almost everyone else, and parallel guides near impossible to find for it atm). Only tiny issue I found immediately - as luck would have it, my first cuts needed to be 200mm - the Dewalt DC520 cannot plunge all the way down at the start of the cut with the double sided flag stop. Again, this is largely due to the peculiarities of the Dewalt and ceases to be a problem at 214mm cuts or bigger, or possibly on thinner sheet (this is 18mm thickness). Am now looking to see if Benchdogs do a single sided flag stop, and the problem would be eliminated entirely... Product itself is immaculately machined, and fantastically packaged - super easy to set up and calibrate, with well made instructions of all sorts. Thank you Benchdogs - made my future jobs a lot more accurate and/or a lot quicker!
Not used them yet, but you can tell that they are quality.
