Purchased these a couple of weeks ago and wanted to use them before leaving a review. (I hate being asked for a review within hours of receiving something!). I have a limited amount of workspace and was hoping that these BD Hinge Dogs would be helpful. Initially they were a little fiddly to set up but became simple once I got the hang of it.
Yesterday, I set my track up using the Hinge Dogs and a repeat stop. Then I proceeded to make forty two cuts. Being able to just hinge the track out of the way, remove one workpiece and place the next was so simple. The time saving and reduced hassle, compared to my normal routine of juggling the track, track saw, clamps and workpieces, was brilliant.
Some have mentioned that there can be some lateral movement when hinging the track. I also found this but once set back down the track was held solid. All the pieces that I cut were exactly to identical size that I wanted.
Great piece of kit very accurate wish I bought one sonner
I'm a bit disappointed to be honest especially considering the of price jig. There was to information on setting up jig, the drill bushing came lose after drilling no more than 30 holes, the thumb turns on height adjustment keep coming lose and the square driver supplied doesn't fit my kreg or trend pocket hole screws
Everything as expected, expedient. Have nit had an opportunity to use.
