Solid, well made, and versatile. These are high quality dogs that are easy to secure in 20 mm dog holes. I use them for a number of purposes, including squaring the rail to the Benchdog fence.
The MFT Plugs are fantastic! They fit snugly into chamfered MFT -3 20mm dog holes, are flush with the work surface. They are easily removed with a simple magnet. This adds to the versatility of the table by preventing small parts/screws from falling to the floor and it also minimizes the amount of saw dust that accumulates on the floor (or anything stored under the MFT). I highly recommend this product.
I have an outrigger attached to my double length ultra mft bench. It has been attached using 2 sets connectors, 1 set in the upper track took and bench corner. The second set is connected with the lower bench corner hole, and the inside corner of the bench has connectors in both the upper and lower tracks !
It took some work and patience to fit the slide in piece into the lower track, but it was worth the effort. I simply inserted the small diameter end into a drill chuck and used emery cloth to cut the diameter of the slide in piece until it fit.
Once fully assembled, my double length bench with the outrigger on the right side of the cut strip, is absolutely rock solid! My bench , at the right side now measures 48”. Everything that I have put together thus far has been amazing !!
This works great for the angle stop and the benchdog fence. Now it is faster and easier to make all my cuts, wish I bought this sooner. If you have a festool angle stop and a benchdog fence, this is a great addition
I cannot fault it. It has speeded up my workflow and hugely improved the accuracy of my cuts using Bosch FSN tracks.
The facility to add on extenders is novel and inspired and I found it was well worth investing in one for longer rips.
