Product Description

Benchdogs CTW Quad MFT Hinge System – Close To Wall Version

The Benchdogs CTW Quad MFT Hinge System is a Close To Wall version of our popular Quad Hinge System, designed for MFT-style tops where the hinge system locates directly into the dog holes using bench dogs — with no extrusion required.

This version has been developed for customers who want to position their MFT workstation closer to a wall, making it ideal for smaller workshops, garage workshops and compact workspaces where every millimetre matters.

On the standard Quad Hinge System, the hinge is normally positioned in the usual orientation on the MFT top. The CTW version allows the hinge to be fitted the opposite way round, using a specially designed support plate that gives the hinge the clearance and stability it needs when the workstation is pushed close to a wall.

The system still gives you the same accurate, repeatable guide rail setup that the Benchdogs Quad Hinge System is known for, but in a more space-saving layout. Simply locate the system into the dog holes in your MFT top, align your rail and fence, and you are ready for accurate 90° cuts, panel work and repeatable cutting tasks.

This is the ideal solution if you want the accuracy of a hinged guide rail setup without needing side extrusion, table plates or additional mounting hardware. The hinge system is secured using the MFT dog hole pattern, keeping the setup clean, simple and reliable.

Perfect for use with our Benchdogs Fence System, the CTW Quad MFT Hinge System helps create accurate and repeatable cuts across sheet material, cabinet components, furniture parts and general woodworking projects.

The system will need clearance beneath the dog holes for the CTW support plate for the shafts to move freely.

Why Choose the CTW Version?

If your MFT workstation needs to sit close to a wall, a standard hinge layout can limit how the rail and hinge operate. The CTW version solves this by reversing the hinge orientation and using a dedicated support plate to give the system the clearance it needs.

This allows you to keep your MFT top in a more compact position while still benefiting from the speed, accuracy and repeatability of the Benchdogs Quad Hinge System.

It is ideal for workshops where space is limited, including garage workshops, home workshops, mobile setups and small professional workspaces.

Designed For Dog-Hole Mounted Setups

This version is designed for MFT-style worktops where the hinge system is positioned using bench dogs in the top itself.

Unlike the table plate version, this model does not rely on side extrusion or table-mounted plates. The system locates through the MFT dog holes, giving you a simple and accurate setup that can be removed or repositioned when needed.

This makes it a great choice for users with traditional MFT-style tops, custom MFT benches, replacement tops or workstations without side extrusion.

What is the Quad Hinge System?

The Benchdogs Quad MFT Hinge System allows your guide rail to lift up and return to position, helping you make fast, accurate and repeatable cuts on an MFT-style workbench.

When used with a Benchdogs Fence System, the hinge system helps create a reliable 90° cutting station for sheet materials, panels, cabinet parts and general woodworking projects.

The CTW version keeps the same functionality but adapts the layout for close-to-wall use.
