Manufactured using a state-of-the-art CNC machine with advanced tool change technologies, each top is crafted from 18mm Black Fibralux MR, a moisture-resistant and durable high-density fibreboard. This choice of material ensures long-lasting stability and resistance to warping, which is crucial for maintaining precision in a woodworking environment.
A key detail in the design of our MFT Tops is the chamfering of all holes. These holes are precisely machined to be 20.08mm in diameter, making them perfectly compatible with the Benchdogs Tools Range of accessories. This compatibility allows for the seamless use of our MFT Plugs, facilitating a secure and precise fit. Shipping the tops can be a logistical nightmare. We have devised a way to ship oversized tops and connect them accurately. So, when ordering your top, select the Joining Kit option if it is oversized.

Please Note: If you are sealing or Varnishing the top, please be aware that this may cause inaccuracies in the holes due to the thickness of the coating applied. To overcome this, a BD reamer would resolve the hole size issue. This can be found Here - MFT Top Reamer.

I ordered a custom top 1400mm x2107mm which I could’ve done from MDF with a lot of effort and time. I wanted the Benchdogs grid and the black Valchromat, which you cannot get here in the states. I needed custom holes to anchor the three sections to my rails and they were absolutely spot on. With the alignment jig, dominos and being made with precision from the start, all three panels have lined up perfectly across the 84in that I needed. It’s almost too nice to use as a workbench haha. I know it’ll last me an extremely long time and if I ever need to replace or make more work surfaces, I won’t hesitate to order again. Like everything I’ve got from Benchdogs, it’s perfect

the only thing keeping it from perfect is the limited operability with the FSA OFA router sled, simply corrected by shortening the inner ruler.
I got the Mafell/Bosch version of these dogs to replace the old 'wiggle loose' style guide rail dogs I had from UJK (they are very similar to the mk1 bench dogs ones). These mk2 are such a step up! You can actually take your rail out without wanting to break it in halve :) I was thinking about getting a hinge for my rail, but with these much cheaper guide dogs, I don't really see any reason (yet).
After sending an email about sending them with cheaper regular mail to the Netherlands I actually got a reply that same Sunday evening, great service.
